    I was in eighth grade at a Catholic school the day of the Challenger disaster. Our teachers had brought TVs into the classrooms so we could watch the launch. We watched in horror as it exploded and after we all prayed, we were sent home for the rest of the day because it was so traumatic. I spent the rest of that day glued to the TV news praying for a miracle, that they would find survivors somehow, but it was not to be.
    I remember finding comfort in President Ronald Reagan's beautiful words afterward.
