OAG has made this determination, despite the clarity of the violation of this important law, because under all of the circumstances here a prosecution would not promote public safety in the District of Columbia nor serve the best interests of the people of the District to whom this office owes its trust."
And with these words, District of Columbia Attorney General Irvin Nathan has proven that there are two laws in this country: one for the elite and politically connected, and then the one for all the little people.
Jacobson at Legal Insurrection has the best summation of this ridiculousness, including the news that David Gregory and wife both know the DC Attorney General Irvin Nathan.
Also included is Jacobson's posting is the story of an injured special forces soldier arrested in upstate NY for possession of high capacity ammunition magazines, and that NBC requested and was denied permission to use high capacity magazine in news segment by the DC police.
